Who we are. Silaikar is run by Seamroom Ltd, company 17457398, 71–75 Shelton Street, London WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom. Questions: admin@silaikar.com.
What we keep
- Your account: your WhatsApp number, your name, and an email address if you give one.
- Your workers: each worker's name, their picture and the three pictures they tap to open their card, their rate, the pieces they finish and the wages you record for them.
- The work: job cards, dates, photos of the work, the measurements and notes a shop sends with an order.
- Questions: when you ask by voice, the recording is kept with the question, so the person answering can hear it, with the written words beside it. To have recordings deleted, email admin@silaikar.com and we'll do it.
- Nothing else. No location, no contacts, no browsing, no advertising identifiers. We run no analytics and show no advertising.
Why. To run your workroom: the cards, the count, the week's wages, and the orders a shop sends you. For nothing else.
Who else handles it. Only companies that do one job for us, on our instructions: Postmark delivers sign-in codes by email; a transcription service (ElevenLabs) turns a spoken question into text; our servers are run by DigitalOcean, in London, UK, with backup copies at Cloudflare. A wage slip goes from your own WhatsApp, and only if you send it. We never sell your information. Silaikar is not a marketplace: we never introduce you to anyone, list you anywhere, or pass on your number.
What a shop sees. A shop that sends you orders through Silaikar sees the stages and photos of its own orders, and the answers to its questions. It never sees your wages, your rates, your other shops' work, or your workers' details.
Your workers. You are responsible for telling your workers that their picture and their wages are recorded in Silaikar. To remove a worker who leaves, or a worker's picture or record, email admin@silaikar.com with the workroom's name and we'll do it; a worker can also write to us directly.
How long. While your account is open. To close it and have everything deleted, email admin@silaikar.com from your account's number or address and we'll do it; we send you a copy of your records first if you ask. Backup copies expire after 30 days. Sign-in codes last 10 minutes. Details are on silaikar.com/delete.
Your rights. You can see, correct and get a copy of everything we hold about you, and have it deleted. Write to admin@silaikar.com from your account's number or address. If you are unhappy with our answer, you can complain to the data-protection authority where you live.
Security. You sign in with a code; there is no password to steal. Everything travels encrypted. On a shared floor phone, money shows only behind a worker's own pictures, unless you choose to show it on the cards. The three pictures tell the phone who is who; they are not a lock against someone determined to cheat.
Who it's for. Silaikar is for workrooms and the people who run them. It is not for anyone under 18 to sign up on their own.
Changes. If this page changes in a way that matters, we date the change here and tell you.
